CURRICULUM

Renaissance provides a quality international, British based, education for students aged 2 to 18 years old, from Early Years through to Secondary.

Early Years

Primary

Our curriculum from Early Years to Secondary is framed by the philosophy and pedagogical practices of the International Baccalaureate rooted in the National Curriculum of England. Students in Early Years to Year 6 are in the Primary Years Programme(PYP); in Years 7 to Year 9, students move into the Middle Years Programme(MYP) and in Years 10 and 11, International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE); culminating with the Diploma Programme (DP) in Years 12 and 13. The completion of each milestone is celebrated with a student-driven, major project. In the PYP, students complete their final year by presenting at the Exhibition showcasing guided and independent research- developing central ideas and lines of inquiry. In the MYP, students end their last year with a Personal Project. Finally, in DP, students must complete an Extended Essay and engage in documented Creativity, Action and Service based projects.

The International Baccalaureate's Learner Profile, married with the Round Square Ideals and Discoveries, enhances our curricular programmes, developing internationally minded students who are inquirers, risk-takers, knowledgeable, principled, thinkers, communicators, open-minded, caring, reflective and balanced human beings.
