The Primary School at Renaissance covers Year 1 through to Year 6 and our quality programme is based on the National Curriculum for England enhanced by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). As the only Round Square school in Vietnam, the Primary School actively embeds the associated IDEALS through the programme and this provides the students with an expansive educational experience.
THE INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY PROGRAMME (IPC)
The IPC complements the core subjects of English and Mathematics and through the specific thematic units, has a significant focus on Science, the Arts and Humanities. The IPC is delivered through six cross-curricular themes that last approximately six weeks and each unit has clear learning goals that foster the academic, social, spiritual emotional and physical development of the students.
Assessment at Renaissance is continuous and students are given many opportunities to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways that reflects their learning styles and needs. From Year 3 all students participate in GL assessments in Mathematics and English which provides valuable programmatic data whilst at the end of Year 6 each individual learning journey culminates in a Personal Project where the students present to their peers and parents.
